Global data centre operator, Digital Realty, has partnered with Southpac International Group to launch a new Safety Leadership Program that builds leadership capability through conversations, connection, and care.
Digital Realty operates some of the world’s most critical digital infrastructure – environments where reliability is essential, pace is relentless, and teams operate with minimal margin for error.
That’s why they are taking a fresh approach to leadership. Instead of adding more rules, tools or reporting layers, Digital Realty is asking a more important question:
How can leaders stay connected to the reality of work, especially when everything around them is moving fast?
To explore that question, Digital Realty has launched a new global Safety Leadership Program in partnership with Southpac International Group.
The first session brought APAC leaders together in Singapore in February 2025 to explore themes that sit at the core of progressive safety leadership:
- How do our decisions shape the environment people work in?
- What enables great work to happen – and what gets in the way?
- How do leaders stay close to operational truth, not organisational assumptions?
This isn’t a framework to roll out or a script to follow. It’s a capability-building journey: conversation led, insight driven, and focused on what genuinely matters to people doing the work.
Southpac’s Director of Safety Leadership, Daniel Hummerdal, explained it simply:
